What do I have to do?

It could be china cups and cucumber sandwiches you are craving. Or is it croissant and a decent café au lait? Perhaps your taste buds are hankering after a big dish of ravioli con la zucca with creamy tiramisu to finish. Faced with these cravings, or even if you are looking to go beyond the most cliché dishes, there is a surprising amount of continental and Euro-fare to be discovered here. Put that fuul sandwich down (or have someone pry it out of your fingers) and head to one of these restaurants for a temporary step into a gastronomical world far beyond the nation’s borders.
In Cairo, it’s easy as several countries maintain social clubs with — the best part of the club phenomenon — restaurants dedicated to their local edible traditions. Be prepared to pay a bit extra to enter if you don’t have the good fortune to hail from your chosen’s club’s nation, but simultaneously prepare for a lovely experience.
The Italian Club is an escape, pure and simple. After walking down 26th of July Street with the roaring of the people, cars and buses packed in under the bridge, it comes as an auditory shock when the gates of the club close behind you and suddenly all is quiet. The menu is simple, with sometimes only two choices of entrée, but the pasta classics like ravioli and gnocchi are consistently tasty, if a bit on the traditional, read: uninspired, side. A bottle of wine and crème caramel makes one forget about the chaos raging outside the club walls and instead takes the mind to a state of mental Tuscany.

When the skis are on, you are
ready to rock
|
Getting up on two skis
is the first step you need to take to get into the world of water skiing. Despite common misconceptions, water skiing does not take a tremendous amount of strength or skill. It is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. From kids as young as five to adults well past retirement age, water skiing can be an exciting and healthy hobby.
The first thing you'll need to do is find a Coast Guard Approved Life Jacket (or "Personal Floatation Device" "PFD"). Be sure that it fits properly. You don't want your life jacket to be floating up around your head.
Once you've got your life jacket, you'll need to put on your skis. This can be done in the water, but for especially young skiers it may be helpful to sit them on the boat's swim platform and have someone assist them in putting on their skis.
Most beginner skis come with adjustable bindings to accommodate various shoe sizes. Be sure to size the bindings properly. They should be adjusted as tight as you can make them and still have your foot be able to squeeze in comfortably.
When the skis are on, you are ready to rock. Grab the handle of the rope (which the driver should have already unwound and tied up for you) and float in the water on your back while the driver takes the slack out of the rope. Don't waste your energy at this point trying to stay aligned with the boat or keeping your skis straight, just relax. Your life jacket will float you.

As the popularity of computers and the Internet continues to grow, people are storing more and more information on their computers. It is not uncommon to have family pictures, business files, personal records and other important data stored on your computer. With people trying to take on a paperless lifestyle, most people don’t print a copy of important documents (referred to as a hard copy). What most people don’t realize is there is the potential for one virus or computer problem and they could lose some, or even all, of these important files.
The solution to preventing this loss is to back up your files on a consistent basis.
One option is to purchase CDs and/or DVDs and copy your information to the disc. This process is referred to as burning. To transfer your data, you simply put the disc in the CD drive and copy your data to the disc. Make sure to label the discs as you go so you are able to find the data later on should you need it. If you decide to go this route, you will have to be disciplined enough to do this often. Another downside is that buying the discs can get expensive.
A second option is to purchase an external hard drive, a type of hard disk drive that is connected to your computer, but stored externally. To back up the files, simply drag and drop all the data onto the external hard drive. You can delete and over-write files on the external drive, making it more practical than most CDs. However, you still have to remember to back up files to the external hard drive on a regular basis. While you will pay more up front for an external hard drive, in the long run they may end up being cheaper than CDs.
A third option is to purchase a flash drive. A flash drive is similar to external hard drive, but it is much smaller. They operate quickly, are very durable and hold a lot of data. Flash drives are plugged into the USB port on your computer. You can delete and add new files whenever you want. For example, if you are going to make a presentation and it is stored on your computer, many people will also store a copy of the presentation on the flash drive in case of computer failure.
